Graduate Fellowships for 2005
The Motorola Center for Communication at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign ( http://www.csl.uiuc.edu/mcc/ ) announces the availability of funding for 3-4 Graduate Fellows at UIUC. The Fellows will be selected from applicants in engineering and science departments whose thesis research is in communications-related research.
Award: Stipend and full tuition/fees for one (1) year
Start Date: August 16, 2004
Eligibility: Candidates must be graduate students enrolled in good standing at any level at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Candidates from appropriate departments and professional schools are encouraged to apply. Fellowships will be awarded for a full range of technologies related to communications.
Criteria: Applicants will be judged on their record of academic achievement and on their demonstrated and proposed commitment to research and education in the field of communications.
Application Requirements: Students must submit their application materials to the Associate Director of the Motorola Center for Communication by Tuesday, July 21 2004, 4:00 pm. The following items should be submitted:
1) One-page vita of student.
2) One, but preferably two nominating letters.
3) One-page statement by student describing his/her academic interests and proposed research in the area of communications.
